Now and Zen Productions (N&Z) was first incorporated in October of 1995 to sell novelty tee shirts. A story had come our way about a couple who’d written some funny tee shirts and sold them to a mail order catalog for an surprising sum. On a lark we tried to write and market some ideas of our own. In February of 1996 the original Now and Zen catalog was assembled on the kitchen table of a one-bedroom apartment. The first order for 18 shirts, totaling $153, was placed the following April. In 2006 N&Z realized sales exceeded $42,000,000. Now and Zen is among the largest sellers of non-licensed novelty (humor and graphics) tee shirts in America. Our customers consist primarily of department stores and mall stores. N&Z primarily programs in five categories: Activewear (Sports), Young Men’s, Boys, Juniors, Girls, and Infants and Toddlers. Now and Zen Productions is based in downtown Denver, Colorado in a renovated Victorian home, where twenty talented souls perform magic all the year long.
